    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detection device capable of securing desired directivity.
      SOLUTION: In the obstacle detection device 100 where an ultrasonic sensor 110 is attached to the inner surface 120a of an attachment member 120, the ultrasonic sensor 110 comprises an ultrasonic transducer 111 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave, and a case 112 for storing the ultrasonic transducer 111 and bringing the ultrasonic transducer 111 into contact with the inner surface of a bottom surface section 112a. A projection 112b is disposed on the outer surface of the bottom surface section 112a so as to be brought into contact with the inner surface 120a of the attachment member 120. Therefore, a main transmission range of the ultrasonic wave (vibration) can be squeezed by the projection 112b, so that the desired directivity can be secured.
