    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which deterioration of detection accuracy of a magnetic angular sensor can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In a motor 5, a housing 20 and a rotation shaft 35 are formed of non-magnetic materials. A soft magnetic member 80 is arranged between a specific end face 54 of a stator core 51 and a bearing 30. The soft magnetic member 80 is arranged at the stator core 51 side of the bearing 30, and guides a magnetic flux emitted from a magnet pole 43 of a rotor 40 toward a first bottom 23 side of the housing 20 through the stator core 51 and a casing 10 to the rotor core 41 so as to suppress a magnetic flux from leaking to a vicinity of one end 36 of the rotation shaft 35. Consequently, in a magnetic angular sensor 60 fixed to the one end 36 of the rotation shaft 35, deterioration of the detection accuracy due to an external disturbance magnetic field is prevented, and a position of the magnetic pole of the rotor 40 can be detected. Accordingly, noises caused by useless vibration of the motor 5 are prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor capable of reducing cogging torque.SOLUTION: A motor has a consequent pole rotor 40. The rotor 40 comprises: magnet poles 45 each embedding a permanent magnet 48; and soft magnetic poles 43 located between respective magnet poles 45. The thickness d(=d/p) of the permanent magnet 48 and the circumferential width w(=w/p) of the soft magnetic pole 43 are set to satisfy a relation 360≤(w/d)≤400. Consequently, spread in the circumferential direction of the magnetic flux in a cavity between the soft magnetic pole 43 and a stator 30 is suppressed, and flux density difference is less likely to occur in the circumferential direction. Consequently, the space order components of magnetic flux in a space between the stator 30 and the rotor 40 are suppressed so that the low order components other than the main component are extremely small. Cogging torque can thereby be reduced.

According to this structure, the cross sectional area of the terminal part 182 of the conductor 14 is set to be small so that electromechanical connection with the control device 5 is made possible without trouble even in the rotary electric machine 1 driven in large current with the thick conductor 14 (wire).
