    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide autofrettage processing that can reduce attrition in a part, which is caused by wear, as much as possible.SOLUTION: The autofrettage apparatus inserts a piston (42) into an inner pressure chamber (IC) at a predetermined supply speed (v) to increase an inner pressure chamber pressure (P) of an operating oil (2) having a normal pressure viscosity (η) so as to perform the autofrettage processing to a workpiece (1). In the autofrettage system, the predetermined supply speed (v) of the piston (42) is controlled to be greater than a critical piston supply speed (Vc) calculated based on the flow volume of an operating oil per unit time when the inner pressure chamber (IC) having characteristic values of the normal pressure viscosity (η) and an average space amount (h) exerts the largest leakage flow quantity (Qmax).
