    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a screw type cap, the structure including a cylindrical part screwed on the neck part of a container, and an opening/closing part connected to a cylindrical part via a hinge, sealing the mouth of the neck part, and being able to cover part of the sidewall of the neck part.SOLUTION: The sealing structure for screw type cap includes a neck part 2 with a male screw 3 formed thereon, a cylindrical part 14 with a female screw 6 formed on its internal circumferential surface to spirally engage with the male screw 3, and the opening/closing part 16 connected to part of the peripheral edge of the upper end of the cylindrical part 14 via the hinge 15, sealing the mouth 4 formed in the leading end of the neck part 2, and being able to cover the sidewall of the neck part 2. In the sealing structure, the internal surface of the opening/closing part 16 includes projecting claws 21 (locking claws) that vertically engage with the male screw 3. Part of the male screw 6 has notches 10 through which the projections 21 can pass in the axial direction of the neck part 2.
