    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart hydrolysis resistance and flame retardancy to an aliphatic polyester fiber structure.SOLUTION: There is provided a flame retardant used for subjecting an aliphatic polyester fiber structure to flame-retardant processing, in which the flame retardant is obtained by dispersing or emulsifying an aromatic phosphorus-based flame retardant and a carbodiimide terminal blocking agent into water. The aromatic phosphorus-based flame retardant includes both a specified monophosphate and a specified polyphosphate. A method for producing a flame retardant aliphatic polyester fiber structure comprising: feeding step of feeding the aliphatic polyester fiber structure into a treatment liquid including the flame retardant; in-bath processing step of subjecting the structure to in-bath processing while circulating the treatment liquid; cleaning step; dehydrating step; and drying step is also provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant finishing agent capable of imparting flame retardancy having excellent durability to a polyester fiber product, to provide a flame-retardant finishing method using the finishing agent, and to provide a flame-retardant finished polyester fiber product obtained by using the finishing agent.
      SOLUTION: The flame-retardant finishing agent for the polyester fiber product is obtained by emulsifying or dispersing at least one kind of an aromatic phosphate selected from biphenyl diphenyl phosphate and naphthyl diphenyl phosphate in the presence of a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant. The method for carrying out the flame-retardant finishing for the polyester fiber product by using the flame-retardant finishing agent and at least one kind of a flame retardant-exhaustion promoter selected from alkylnaphthalenes, aromatic imides, glycol ethers and halogenated benzenes is provided as a preferable flame-retardant finishing method.
