    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte layer for a fuel cell excellent in durability; a binder for forming an electrode catalyst layer; an anion exchange resin producible of the cell electrode catalyst layer; an electrolyte layer for a fuel cell formed from the anion exchange resin; a binder for forming the electrode catalyst layer; and a fuel cell electrode catalyst layer, further a fuel cell equipped with the electrolyte layer for a fuel cell or cell electrode catalyst layer.SOLUTION: This anion exchange resin is obtained by bonding a hydrophobic unit in which a divalent hydrophobic group comprising a plurality of aromatic rings mutually bonded through a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group, and a divalent bonding group comprising a single aromatic ring or a plurality of aromatic rings mutually bonded through a carbon-carbon bond are repeated through an ether bond; and a hydrophilic unit in which a divalent hydrophilic group where aromatic rings having a plurality of aromatic rings mutually bonded through a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group and aromatic rings having an anion exchange group in the saturated hydrocarbon group are bonded through a carbon-carbon bond; and the bonding group are repeated through an ether bond; are bonded together through an ether bond.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocarbon based polymer electrolyte which excels in processability and has a proton conductivity, particularly an excellent proton conductivity in water-decreased circumstances and a membrane thereof.
