      SOLUTION: The coating method includes: an intermediate coating process 1 of intermediately coating a member constituting an automobile body with an aqueous coating; a first preliminary heating process 4 of heating the member preliminarily; a base coating process 8 of base-coating the member with the aqueous coating, a second preliminary heating process 12 of heating the member preliminarily; a clear coating process 16 of clear-coating the member; and a baking process 19 of baking the member. The base coating process 8 includes a color base process 10 of color-base-coating the member heated in the first preliminary heating process with a colored aqueous coating, and a pearl base process 11 of color-base-coating the member coated in the color base process 10 with a pearl-like aqueous coating.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanger type conveyor for a car body, capable of preventing floating of the car body during soaking with a simple structure and at a low cost.SOLUTION: The hanger type conveyor for the car body conveys the car body 2 by placing the car body 2 on a hanger unit hung from a conveyor rail, wherein the hanger unit is equipped with a supporting member, a pendent frame part 12 and a placing part 13 on which the car body 2 is placed. A locking member 15 for locking the car body onto the placing part 13 is attached to the placing part 13, and a lock switching system 17 is attached to the pendent frame part 12. The pendent frame part 12 is connected to the supporting member and the placing part 13 so as to freely rotate around an vehicle width direction axis of the car body 2. By tilting the placing part 13 in the same direction as tilting of the supporting member, the pendent frame part 12 is tilted against the placing part 13, thereby enabling the lock switching system 17 to apply a driving force to the locking member 15 for switching the same to a locking position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can suitably evaluate a floating state of a carbody without using a holder for stopping floating and at the time prior to a high-volume production stage, and thereby can suppress the increase of the number of manufacturing steps and a manufacturing cost.
      SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the floating state of the carbody is used for evaluating the floating state of the carbody when the carbody is transported in a predetermined direction with a transportation conveyer and is immersed into an immersion tank in a state of making the front part of the carbody tilted to the downward direction in an immersion treatment step, and mainly includes: an analytic model creation step S1 of creating a model for analyzing the carbody; a buoyancy calculation step S2 of calculating buoyancy generated in the immersed portion of the carbody in an operation of immersing the carbody; a gravity calculation step S3 of calculating the gravity which works on the center of gravity of the immersed portion; an inflow weight calculation step S4 of calculating an inflow weight of an immersion liquid which flows into an internal space of the immersed portion through an opening of a hole provided in the carbody; and a floating state evaluation step S5 of evaluating the floating state of the carbody based on the balance of the forces among the buoyancy, the gravity and the inflow weight, which have been calculated respectively in the steps S2 to S4.
