    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for increasing a material without easily forming any bend in a desired area in the longitudinal direction of a metal bar of large diameter and heavy weight.
      SOLUTION: A compression force is applied to both ends of a metal bar 1 by engaging a first compression force providing head 51 provided on a fixed support base 50 and a second compression force providing head 55 provided on a movable second truck 54. A first truck 7 with a first guide device 12 and a second guide device 13 having a roller to hold the metal bar, and an induction heating coil 31 to heat the metal bar mounted thereon is moved to a desired position with respect to the metal bar 1 and stopped. The material of the desired area is increased by moving the induction heating coil 31 and the second guide device 13 while holding the metal bar 1 by the first and second guide devices 12 and 13.
