SOLUTION: A brush 3 comprises conducting materials 3a and insulating layers 3b alternately disposed in their width direction corresponding to the circumferential direction of the commutator 2. A width B of the conducting material 3a is narrower than a width A of the insulating part 2b in the commutator 2. The conducting materials 3a are connected to a pigtail 4 attached to an upper end of the brush 3. When the segments 2a adjacent in the circumferential direction of the commutator 2 are shorted through the brush 3, the current does not directly flow from the first conducting material 3a1 to the second conducting material 3a2 since the insulating layer 3b intervenes between the first conducting material 3a1 contacting one segment 2a1 and the second conducting material 3a2 contacting another segment 2a2, and the internal short current is reduced by an increase of resistance since the current flows from the conducting material 3a1 to the second conducting material 3a2 through the pigtail 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pipe capable of preventing break of legs and pawls caused by misalignment in assembling and surly draining water and the like.
      SOLUTION: The drain pipe 4 of the invention is constructed of a pipe member 40 and a connection member 41. The connection member 41 includes a base 41a, the legs 41b, 41c and the pawls 41d, 41e. Outer peripheral surfaces of walls 41f, 41g are formed in a shape corresponding to an inner peripheral surface of a drain hole. The walls 41f, 41g serve a guide and misalignment between the connection member 41 and the drain hole 30a can be prevented. Break of the legs 41b, 41c and the like caused by the misalignment can be therefore prevented. The height of the walls 41f, 41g is set equal to or smaller than a height to tips of the pawls 41d, 41e. After assembling, the tips of the walls 41f, 41g do not project inward of an end frame. Drainage of water and the like accumulated in the end frame is not inhibited.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress impact noise and vibration by absorbing an impact energy generated by the collision of a plunger 5 with a core 10. SOLUTION: A yoke 4 is formed in a cylindrical shape having a bottom surface, and a recessed part 4a is formed in the bottom surface front side of the yoke 4 by recessing inward the bottom surface center part thereof. An elastic member 11 (for example, rubber) is fitted to the recessed part 4a, The elastic member 11 is formed almost in same size as that of the recessed part 4a, and forms almost the same surface as the front surface of the yoke 4 without being projected largely from the front surface of the yoke 4 to the outside. Thus, since the impact energy generated when the plunger 5 is sucked and collides with the core 10 can be absorbed by the elastic member 11, impact noise is relieved and changed from normal high metallic noise to low noise, and the noise leaking to the outside through the yoke 4 can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch 1 in which a plunger 3 is prevented from sticking to a cushion member 20 to allow the plunger 3 to move certainly when an exciting coil 2 is energized.
      SOLUTION: The electromagnetic switch 1 has a stopper member 5 for regulating a position where the plunger 3 returns to. The cushion member 20 made of rubber is arranged in a recessed space formed at the stopper member 5 and a plate 21 of a non-magnetic material is attached to the cushion member 20. When a magnetic force disappears by stopping energizing the exciting coil 2, the plunger 3 is pushed back by the reaction of a return spring 4 in the direction opposite to an iron core so that the plunger 3 collides with the plate 21 of the non-magnetic material to stop. Thus, the plunger 3 does not stick to the cushion member 20 by the variation of a temperature environment, etc., and the plunger 3 is not attracted to the plate 21 of the non-magnetic material when the exciting coil 2 is energized, so that the plunger 3 is certainly released from the plate 21 of the non-magnetic material.
