    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle-of-rotation detector for which the output characteristic of a magnetism detecting element with respect to the angle of rotation of an object to be detected can be set within the range of >=180 deg. and which can be improved in angle-of-rotation detecting characteristic. SOLUTION: This angle-of-rotation detector is provided with a rotor constituted of two magnets 1 and a main yoke 2 and a stator constituted of one set of auxiliary yokes 3 and the magnetism detecting element 4 and the rotor is fixed to the rotating shaft of an object to be detected. The main yoke 2 constitutes a magnetic circuit by closing the space between the magnets 1 in a ring-like state. The auxiliary yokes 3 are arranged with a gap 5 in between and the magnetism detecting element 4 is incorporated in the central part of the gap 5. The stator is positioned in the rotor so that the air gap G formed between the stator and rotor may gradually change in the peripheraly. To be concrete, the direction of the gap of the stator is made coincide with that of the center line A-A of the rotor and the center Os of the stator is shifted from the center Or of the rotor by a prescribed amount L.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational angle detector capable of preventing operation failure of a Hall IC by discharging electric charge charged on a stator 15.
      SOLUTION: A metallic terminal 16 for electrically connecting the stator 15 to an intermediate shaft 11 is built in a sensor cover 6. The metallic terminal 16 is inserted into the sensor cover 6 in a condition that one end of the metallic terminal 16 is in contact with a surface of the stator 15. The other end of the metallic terminal 16 is exposed to a recessed section 6a formed on the sensor cover 6 and is electrically connected to the intermediate shaft 11 fitted to the recessed section 6a. With the above configuration, when static electricity is applied to the stators 15, the static electricity can be discharged from the stator 15 to a throttle body via the metallic terminal 16 and the intermediate shaft 11. As a result, electric charge is not charged to a face of a circuit of the Hall IC having a Hall element mounted thereon, thereby preventing operation failure of the Hall IC.
