    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete member having a small density and a prescribed compressive strength, a concrete material and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: Ordinary portland cement, silica sand, water, a forming agent, a polycarboxylic acid-based water-reducing agent, a retarder composed of an organic acid and/or its salt, fly ash having hollow part, heat resistant polypropylene fibers and/or aramid fibers, and an acccelerator of hardening composed of a calcium aluminate compound are used and a slurry paste is produced by kneading the portland cement, the silica sand, the water, the forming agent, the water-reducing agent, the retarder, and the fly ash (ST 1), and a fiber-containing slurry paste is produced by adding the fiber material to the slurry paste and kneading the mixture (ST 3). Further, the acccelerator of hardening, the water and the retarder are added to the fiber-containing slurry paste (ST 4), and after the mixture is placed, the mixture is cured (ST 6 and ST 7).
