SOLUTION: Protection layers each of which includes a film having an adhesive on the surface of a base material or includes a co-extrusion film of a base material and an adhesive are provided on both of the coloring layer side surface and rear surface of a color filter substrate obtained by forming basic configuration of a black matrix, a coloring layer, a transparent electrode, a spacer, etc. on the surface of a glass substrate, and the base material of the coloring layer side protection layer includes polyethylene, and the adhesive includes a rubber adhesive. A plurality of color filter substrates each of which forms the protection layers on the coloring layer side and the rear side are laminated through a separating material such as paper and a resin film to form a laminate.
