    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength flexible fine wire of stainless steel which has great elongation characteristics, is excellent in high strength, and corrosion resistance, is nonmagnetic, is capable of reducing nickel allergies, and can be employed as a fine metal wire used for medical-hygienic goods such as interdental brushes, screen meshes and the like. SOLUTION: The high-strength flexible fine wire of stainless consists of an austenitic stainless steel containing, by mass%, 0.005 to 0.25% C, ≤2.0% Si, 2.5 to 12.0% Mn, 0.01 to 5.0% Ni, 15.0 to 35.0% Cr, 0.05 to 8.0% Mo, 0.8 to 1.8% N, and consisting of the balance substantially Fe and inevitable impurities, is ≥35% in elongation characteristics, is provided with an upper yield point SU and lower yield point SL, and has the characteristics that the stress σ SU of the upper yield point SU is made into 85% of the breaking stress (tensile strength) σ B .     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard stainless-steel wire which is superior in workability and mechanical characteristics such as strength and fatigue properties, also prevents a structural defect due to hydrogen from occurring or growing when having been used under the environment of high-pressure hydrogen, and is superior in hydrogen resistance, and to provide a formed product made by forming the same.
      SOLUTION: This stainless-steel wire is an austenitic stainless steel which has a composition composed of, by mass%, C: 0.03-0.18, N: 2-4 times (though having upper limit of 0.3% or less) of C, Si: 1.5 or less, Mn: 2.0 or less, Ni: 8-15, Cr: 15-25, Mo: 0.20-3.0, Cu: more than 0.2 but less than 1.0, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities; has 0.2% yield strength (σ
      0.2 ) of 1,200-1,800 MPa; has a draw ratio (R0) of 55-75%; and besides, has the internal stress (σi) in the range of 0±400 MPa, which is determined on the basis of a curvature radius of a piece separated by such an axis core plane as to divide a cross sectional area of the steel wire into 1/2.
