    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful method for manufacturing a mesh member for screen printing, which does not have an uneven portion on a squeegee contact surface that causes paste to be hardly equally extended since a squeegee is easily caught, and has a thickness of 25 μm or less, a uniform strength required as the mesh member, and the number of meshes required for high definition printing. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the mesh member for screen printing, a square shape opening with sides in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction having the same length, or a circular opening is formed on a rolling metal foil having a thickness of 5 μm or more and 25 μm or less so that the openings are located in plural lines in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, the number of meshes is 250 (meshes/inch) or more, and at least one side composing a line section between adjacent openings is flat. The opening is formed so that a breaking load (N), when a tensile test is carried out for a test piece cut from the manufactured mesh member for screen printing with the dimensions where a width is 15 mm and a gauge length is 100 mm, has a tensile strength of 20 N/cm or more converted into a strength per a width of 1 cm of the tensile test piece, and in this case, the lower limit of an opening rate is 25% or more and the upper limit of the opening rate is equal to or less than a value which is found from a predetermined relation formula.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesh member for screen printing which has no uneven portion on the contact surface of a squeegee that makes it difficult to evenly spread a paste because the squeegee is easily caught, a thickness of 25 μm or less, a uniform strength required as the mesh member, and the number of meshes necessary for high precision printing.
      SOLUTION: The mesh member for screen printing is manufactured by boring a large number of holes in a rolled metal foil, at least one surface constituting each of line parts being flat. The mesh member has a thickness of 5 μm or more to 25 μm or less. Tensile strength is 20N/cm or more when a breaking load (N) during a tensile test is converted into a value per 1 cm of a width of a tensile test piece, and the number of meshes is 250 or more (per inch).
