    • PURPOSE:To improve the degree of freedom of the layout of an impact sensing device by providing a first contact on the output member side, providing a second contact which is provided on a moving path of the first contact in the projecting direction in order to contact the first contact, and electrically connecting both the contacts to each other by the movement of the output member. CONSTITUTION:When an impact is applied in the direction of the arrow A in a state where an impact sensing device is held under the initial condition, a weight 4 is rotated and slided against a torsion spring 9 by engagement of a pinion gear 10 and a rack gear 11 to sense the impact. At this time, the engagement of a cam part 12 and an output lever 6 is released, and the output lever 6 is turned by the torsion spring 9 to bring a first contact 13 into contact with a second contact 14. Thus the electrical continuity is produced between a power supply and an ignition device for operating an air bag mechanism, and thereafter a working condition is held regardless of the position of the weight 4. As a result, the layout of the impact sensing device 2 can be freely performed with respect to the ignition device and the air bag mechanism.

      SOLUTION: This steering wheel for the vehicle includes: a steering wheel body 10 integrated in a manner that a hub portion 11 having an airbag module attachment portion and a connecting part to a steering shaft is connected to a wheel portion 12 through a spoke portion 13; and the decorative cover member 30 fixed by connecting portions 32, 33 to both the hub portion 11 and the spoke portion 13 in the vicinity of the wheel portion 12 for covering at least the spoke portion 13 from the side of the occupant. The decorative cover member 30 has a bending deformable portion 31a which is elastically deformable or plastically deformable with respect to a bending load in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and formed between both the connecting portions 32, 33.

    • PURPOSE: To provide an air bag device capable of simply achieving the attaching/detaching operation of the air bag device body only by the turning operation of a regulating member.
