SOLUTION: The method has the step of supporting the subject/the part and a pulse laser so as to be able to relatively move in an XY face, the step of partially exposing a grinding surface to the pulse from the laser with a sufficient energy to partially melt the grinding surface so as to form fine craters, and the step of repeatedly emitting the laser pulse while moving the substance/the part relative to the laser to form fine graves on the grinding surface, the fine graves are formed by a series of fine craters partially overlapped being aligned, the fine grooves form the satin finish surface in which they are parallel and disposed in the same interval. SOLUTION: The method includes (A) a step of supporting the part made of the metal oxide ceramic material and a laser so that they can relatively move on an XY face, (B) a step of performing a plasma treatment of the part using a gas containing one element selected from nitrogen and carbon, wherein a surface layer of the metal oxide is converted to a ceramic being selected from a metal nitride and a metal carbide and having a stoichiometric composition, (C) a step of locally irradiating the part by a laser beam, wherein local change in color is caused by changing the stoichiometric composition of the surface layer and (D) a step of scanning the surface of the part by the laser beam to form a prescribed pattern.
