    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the construction period and curtail the cost of construction.
      SOLUTION: An intake unit 3 comprising a caisson 4, a pneumatic lid 15 partitioning the inside of the caisson 4 into two sections, and working tubes 18, 18 which are erected on the upper part of the pneumatic lid 15 and incorporate pneumatic devices therein is manufactured on land. The intake unit 3 is transported on sea, and installed on a rock bed 30 of the seabed in the sea area of a work site. In this state, concrete is placed in the outer peripheral part of the caisson 4, and the working tubes 18 are used to compress the air in a space 14 on the lower side of the pneumatic lid 15 by the pneumatic devices. In this state, concrete is placed in the inner peripheral part of the space 14. The working tubes 18 are then removed, and the rock bed 30 is drilled toward the space 14 from the inside of a seabed intake tunnel 25 to connect the seabed intake tunnel 25 to the space 14. The pneumatic lid 15 is then removed, and an opening of the caisson 4 is closed with the lid.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simplifying installation work to considerably shorten a construction period and to reduce a construction cost regarding an intake construction method effective for an intake of an intake facility or the like for condenser cooling water of a thermal-nuclear power plant.
      SOLUTION: An intake unit 3 comprising a caisson 4, a pneumatic lid 15 partitioning the inside of the caisson 4 into two sections, and working cylinders 18, 18 which are erectly arranged in the upper part of the pneumatic lid 15, and embedded with pneumatic apparatuses is manufactured on the ground, and the intake unit 3 is transported by sea and installed on a rock bed 30 of the seabed in an area of site sea. In this state, concrete is placed in the outer peripheral section of the caisson 4, and the working cylinders 18 are used to compress air in a space 14 at the lower side of the pneumatic lid 15 by the pneumatic apparatus. In this state, concrete is placed in an inner peripheral section of the space 14. The working cylinders 18 are then removed, and the rock bed 30 is drilled toward the space 14 from the inside of a seabed intake tunnel 25 to connect the seabed intake tunnel 25 to the space 14. The pneumatic lid 15 is then removed, and an opening of the caisson 4 is closed with a lid.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a construction period, and to reduce construction costs.
      SOLUTION: An intake unit 3, which is composed of a caisson 4, a pneumatic lid 15 for partitioning the inside of the caisson 4 into two sections, and working tubes 18 and 18 which are erected on an upper part of the pneumatic lid 15 and into which a pneumatic device is built, is manufactured on land. The intake unit 3 is transported by sea, and installed in baserock 30 on the sea bottom in a sea area on a job site; concrete is placed on the outer peripheral part of the caisson 4 in this state; the pneumatic device makes air compressed in a space 14 on the downside of the pneumatic lid 15 by using the working tube 18; the concrete is placed on the inner peripheral part of the space 14 in this state; after that, the working tube 18 is removed; the baserock 30 is excavated toward the space 14 from inside an undersea water-intake tunnel 25; the tunnel 25 and the space 14 are connected to each other; and after that, the pneumatic lid 15 is removed so that an opening of the caisson 4 can be closed with the lid.
