    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method usefully applied to the evaluation etc. of the degree of embrittlement of materials used for a power plant, a turbine, etc. based on the width or depth of intergranular corrosion grooves, and used for highly accurately measuring, by image analysis, the width or volume of a recessed part or projecting part existing on a body surface.
      SOLUTION: When calculating the width or volume of a measuring-object recessed part or projecting part existing on the object surface from three-dimensional image data obtained by measuring the object surface, the image data are inputted into a computer to display a two-dimensional surface shape image (monochromic gray image) obtained by expressing heightwise information by using light and dark; horizontal correction processing is performed on the image data by eliminating a brightness gradient uniformly developing along vertical and horizontal directions over the whole of the displayed shape image; the recessed part or projecting part in the shape image is traced to generate a mask image on the shape image after the correction processing is performed therefor; and the width and volume of a portion covered with the mask image are calculated based on the image data.

      SOLUTION: Even if regeneration heat treatment is applied on the transition piece used in the gas turbine combustor a plurality of times, an adverse influence is not exerted on structure and mechanical characteristics, and structure and mechanical characteristics can be recovered to the same levels as structure and mechanical characteristics of a virgin transition piece by regeneration heat treatment. Consequently, structure and mechanical characteristics of the same level as those of the virgin transition piece can be maintained by regularly applying regeneration heat treatment on the transition piece for the gas turbine combustor.

In addition, the amorphous sheet 25, the welded end 23E and the welded end 22E' are heated and melted by an induction heating coil 2c under the pressure, and then, solidified to form a welded portion. It is detected by using a swell sensor 7 that the transverse swelling ratio of the welded ends 23E, 22E' reaches a predetermined value, and the temperature and the pressure of the welded portion are lowered.

      SOLUTION: A maximum-value/minimum value filter process is performed for the whole surface of a two-dimensional surface shape image (1) to acquire two images (2) and (3) in which projecting or recessed parts are eliminated at the surface height of both side parts of a measuring object region. The images (1) and (2) are processed to generate a lower position side corrected three-dimensional image (4) in which a step is removed at the lower surface side height, and the image (4) is digitized at a threshold 1 to generate a rectangularized three-dimensional image (6). The images (1) to (3) are processed to generate a higher position side corrected three-dimensional image (5) in which a step is removed at the higher surface side height. The logical multiplication of the images (5) and (6) is processed to generate a reducedly corrected three-dimensional image (7) by reducing the width of the object region widened on the image (5) to image 6 to a rectangle width of the image (6). The images (7) to (4) are processed to generate a corrected rectangular image (8) on a step part of the object region. The volume of the image (4) and half of the volume of the image (8) are added together to find the volume of the object region.
