    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore phosphorous discharging ability in the case the phosphorous discharging ability is deteriorated even though organic substances are sufficiently supplied in the biological phosphorous removing method.SOLUTION: In the biological phosphorous removing method by active sludge method including a phosphorous discharging step in an anaerobic tank and a phosphorous ingesting step in an aerobic tank, phosphorous discharging ability is restored, by controlling an electric potential of an electrode coming in contact with water to be treated in the anaerobic tank to a value lower than the redox electric potential in the anaerobic tank when phosphorous is normally discharged when the phosphorous removing ability in the anaerobic tank is deteriorated under the condition where the organic substance of the amount by which phosphorous can be normally discharged in the anaerobic tank is supplied.
