      SOLUTION: The method forms images by ejecting the ink to the intermediate transfer from an inkjet head based on image data and forms a preliminary ejection pattern by preliminarily ejecting the ink to the intermediate transfer body from the inkjet based on the preliminary ejection data. The method transfers the preliminary ejection pattern to the recording medium with the images, thereby eliminating the need of cleaning the ink that is preliminarily ejected on the intermediate transfer body.
