摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a stop damping characteristic of a color display body by generating power in a coil utilizing inertia energy by movement of a magnet during a non-exciting period and applying dynamoelectrical braking by short- circuiting both ends of a coil having generating energy. SOLUTION: Coils 67-70 are made a non-exciting state during braking period. When a magnet 66 is passed through near the coils 67-70 not excited, electromotive force is generated in the coils 67-70 by influence of the magnet 66, but in this time, a closed circuit including the coils 67-70 is formed, a current by this electromotive force is made to flow in the coils 67-70, a magnetic field is generated around the coils, this magnetic field resists motion of magnetic poles of the magnet 66. That is, the magnet 66 is passed through the coils 67-70, electromotive force is generated in respective coil, the coils 67-70 are short-circuited by a circuit constituted by transistors and diodes or a switch, force of dynamoelectrical braking is generated by a current by electromotive force, and is utilized as an electromagnetic brake.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the waveform of the driving pulse as necessary though it is impossible to change the waveform of a driving pulse because driving pulse generators generating the driving pulses of stepping motors belonging to respective display elements are provided in driving circuits which are conventionally integrated, with respect to a display device whose screen is constituted by arranging modules having multi-color display elements. SOLUTION: A driving pulse generator 16 generating a waveform data signal is provided separately from driving circuit 24 and a pulse data generating circuit is provided in this driving pulse generator 16. The pulse data generating circuit consists of a pulse waveform ROM and an address counter and it reads out pulse waveform data from the ROM by performing the addition of the counter by a strobe signal and it converts them into a serial pulse width data signal to transmit the data signal to respective driving circuits. Since each driving circuit drives stepping motors of display elements 26 based on this pulse width data signal and display color data from a host 10, the changing of the driving waveform is easily performed by exchanging the pulse waveform ROM.
