摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve such a problem as to be impossible to eliminate the scratch develop on the surface of a steel strip passed through the conventional continuous annealing furnace. SOLUTION: Seal rolls 21, 21 arranged at the outlet part 31a in the furnace body 31 of a continuous annealing furnace 30 and a seal chamber 22 arranged by communicating the space 26 formed by the seal rolls 21, 21 with furnace gas supplying zone 33, are provided, and the seal rolls are set by separating with a distance (d) larger than the thickness of the steel strip 40 passed through the seal rolls 21, 21. In the seal chamber 22, gaseous nitrogen having more excellent sealness than the furnace gas, is supplied and further, the pressure in the seal chamber 22 is constituted so as to be higher than the atmosphere and also, lower than the pressure of the furnace gas supplying zone 33. By this institution, foreign matter dropped onto the seal roll 21 is dropped from the gap 23 between the seal rolls 21, 21 so as to prevent the development of the scratch.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for strip furnace small in the intrusion of the outer air into the furnace and the leakage of atmosphere in the furnace and capable of holding the sealing property for long time. SOLUTION: In this sealing device for the strip furnace in which one pair of seal rolls 7, 7 are disposed oppositely at an opening hole 3 for passing the strip of the furnace body 2, seal blocks 10 advancable/retreatable to a pass line L and thinning toward any direction of advancing/retreating direction are disposed between the seal rolls and the furnace body. Then, felts 13 are fitted on the sliding surface of the seal block with the furnace body and the press- contact surface with the seal roll through elastic bodies 12 and on the other hand, an N2 gas sealing chamber 21 adjoined with the seal blocks, is disposed in the furnace body and the pressure in the N2 gas sealing chamber is kept to lower than the pressure in the furnace and higher than the pressure of the outer part of the furnace.

摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent the temp. deviation at the front end of a preceding material in the case where steel sheets including the preceding material and succeeding material varying in heat absorption characteristics are subjected to combustion control to attain a target sheet temp. by passing these steel sheets through an annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION: A changeover switch 11 is connected to a sheet temp. dependency control section 10 side. This control section controls the combustion quantity R to a burner 5 by supplying an opening degree control signal ΔQS for matching the sheet temp. TS from a sheet thermometer 8 with the target sheet temp. TS0 from the control section 13 to a flow rate control valve 6. The changeover switch is connected to a zone temp. dependency control section 9 side when the sheet junction point arrives at the prescribed control changeover position H in a combustion zone. The control section supplies an opening degree control signal AQZ to the valve 6 so as to maintain the target zone temp. with the zone temp. TZ from a thermocouple 7 of this time as the target zone temp. The changeover switch 11 is reset at the initial position and the valve is controlled by the signal from the sheet temp. dependency control section when the sheet junction point passes a zone outlet. Since the sheet temp. of the sheet junction part is controlled by the zone temp. dependency, the temp. deviation at the front end of the succeeding material is prevented.

Since the hydrogen concn. of the leakage gas can be made to the combustion limit or lower, even if oxygen or firing source exists, it is no fear to develop the firing. Therefore, gaseous nitrogen is blown, but it is no fear that the gaseous nitrogen affects the components in the reducing gas because a part of the reducing gas is suitably exhausted into the out of the furnace with the gas exhaust tube.
