A fault indicator can be operated by the output of the secondary current i2.

摘要： PURPOSE:To certainly detect the ground fault point of a transmission line, by respectively mounting freely mountable current transformers to the upper and lower parts with respect to a power line. CONSTITUTION:Freely mountable current transformers 2, 2' are mounted on a support 1 and the output terminals (a), (b) and (c), (d) thereof are connected so that output waveforms become reverse while a freely variable resistor 4 is arranged between the terminals (c), (d) and a display device 3 using powder is arranged to the leading ends of terminals (e), (f). For example, when earth trouble is generated at the place of an insulator 6 for supporting a main line, a trouble current is divided to flow in the direction 5 of an overhead earth wire 7 and the direction 5' of the earth. The voltage between the terminals (e), (f) is generated as the sum of the outputs of the current transformers 2, 2' to operate the display device 3. Contrarily, since an induction current at a usual time, the trouble current of adjacent supports and a thunder impulse current flow in a direction 1, the current between the terminals (e), (f) becomes zero and the display device 30 is not operated. Therefore, since output voltage by a current in one direction can be brought to zero by introducing a resistor 4 so as to exert no effect on an earth resistor at every support, erroneous operation can be eliminated.

In an analyzer 21 which is installed inside a monitoring station, a noise comparison circuit 23 compares a noise level at a specific frequency out of waveform data received by a telephone 27 with a noise level by an unstained insulator. Then, a CPU 22 outputs a display signal when a comparison difference is abnormal at a prescribed value, and a display 24 displays a comparison result. In this manner, since the waveform recorder 11 which is attached to the transmission-line steel tower automatically informs the monitoring station of a stain on the insulator, the cleaning time of the insulator can be discriminated in an unmanned manner, and it is not required to investigate the stain degree of the insulator.

The secondary voltage energy is reduced to an actual lightning energy by a value previously set in a setting circuit 2 and is integrated by an integrating circuit 3. When an output voltage caused by the integrated energy is higher than a voltage of a reference voltage source 13, a signal is outputted from a comparison and discrimination circuit 4. A trigger circuit 5 is driven by the signal and a current of a built-in source 9 flows in a heating element 15 and a gas generating agent is ignited. An indicating cloth 7 is discharged by a pressure generated in this case. Thus, the damage possibility of the transmission and distribution line 11 can be decided, and the maintenance of the transmission and distribution line 11 can be performed efficiently.

Receiving further lightening, an operation described above is sequentially repeated.
