摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate the identification of distribution of a radiation with a reduced risk of exposure to workers by a method wherein a radiation is automatically measured, corrected based on distance and indicated in varied color and density on the surface of a display. CONSTITUTION:The intensity of a radiation detected with a radiation detector section 2 is obtained with a measuring device 4 as intensity of radiation signal per unit time. An output from the measuring device 4 is recorded on a recorder 7. On the other hand, the distance to an object to be measured or the plane to be measured is measured with a distance meter 1 from the intensity of the radiation and inputted into a microcomputer 5, which corrects the measured value of the radiation provided through the measuring device 4 based on distance information.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable measurement of correct distance, by using a radiation detector itself in place of an optical rangefinder to measure distance. CONSTITUTION:The gamma ray detection value of a detector 21 is represented by D1 as positioned at a distance L from a radiation cource Q which radiates gammarays in numbers of (q) per sec spherically. The detector 21 is made movable horizontally on a rail 8 through a slide 9. The ray detection value D2 is measured at the point shifted by a distance l from the distance L position. The distance L to the radiation source and the intensity (q) of the radiation source Q are measured by a specified formula based on the gamma ray detection values D1 and D2 and the distance l. Thus, the distance to the radiation source and the intensity thereof fare measured with only one detector 21 thereby avoiding effect of a non-transparent body existing in the cource while eliminating any rangefinder.

摘要： PURPOSE:To plug a drum can without direct contact in automatic plugging of the drum can by aligning the centers of a centering head, plug supply head and plug rotating head of a horizontal rotary plate provided equidistantly from an axial center and the plug port part of the drum can on a centering base. CONSTITUTION:A centering head 4, a plug supplying head 5 and a plug rotating head 6 are moved vertically by means of a lever 43 and a double rack mechanism and are provided equidistantly from the shaft 16 of a rotary plate 3. A drum can 7 is placed on a centering base 9 and the centers of a plug port part 12 and the head 4 are aligned. The head 5 attracted with a plug member on a suction cup by vacuum is turned by a handle 25 to rotate and fit the plug member in the plug port part 12. A plug rotating head 6 is turned and the plug is locked to proper tightness by meansof a motor 20 and a torque limiter mechanism. The plug port of the drum is surely plugged without direct contact with hand and the radioactive exposure is prevented.

Signals from the units 1 are taken into the computer 2 sequentially n the time division to collect data from the units 1 at each of a specified time and the whole or a specified part of a measuring area is divided into proper zones while radiation distribution information is displayed on a CRT 3 by setting the density of a specified color or a certain color to correspond to the data for each of the small zones or other techniques. The computer 2 can change the cycle for the collection of information from the units 1 to collect momentary data and those averaged and use the one with a large processing capacity to achieve a quick output processing.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform exact centering in automatic plugging of a drum can by placing the drum can on the receiving base on ball casters, bringing the opening thereof in roughly the lowermost position of a centering member and adjusting finely the center with centering rollers. CONSTITUTION:A drum can 11 is placed on a receiving base 3. A caster base 5 is moved upward by a hydraulic cylinder 4 to press casters 12 on the base 3 thereby floating the base. The opening 21 of the can 11 is brought in roughly the lowermost position of a centering member 19. At least, three places of rollers 18 which are hydraulically moved are operated by a cylinder 7 to fit the opening 21 to the lowered member 19. The cylinder 4 is lowered to place still the receiving base on a stationary base 10. The automatic centering is thus accomplished automatically with the simple mechanism.

A voltage is impressed between the anode 6 and the cathodes 4 and 5 to pass a current, and the material 3 to be decontaminated is electropolished. The positioning of the material 3 to be decontaminated is facilitated by this method, and the decontamination efficiency is improved.

The known depth HD of the water intake tank 7, the installation height HM of the manometer 8 provided on the underwater self-running car 3, and the water level H1 measured by the water gauge 9, and the depth H2 from the water surface to the manometer 8 are operated to measure the deposit thickness Hs of the deposits 2 by computation.
