    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production apparatus which, in producing a figured glass having a figured pattern on its one side and a smooth surface on the other side, does not damage the smoothness of the smooth surface.
      SOLUTION: The production apparatus of a figured glass has a delivery roll of which the glass ribbon contact surface has a wave pattern shape, while supporting the type pattern of a glass ribbon obtained by roll out formation of a molten glass by using a pair of molding rolls consisting of a downside type roll and an upside smooth roll. The glass ribbon contact surface of the used delivery roll has a wave pattern shape with a period of 10.0 mm or higher but not higher than 50.0 mm and a height of 1.0 mm or higher but not higher than 10.0 mm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the trouble of the conventional known means that rapid detecting of the wrapping and building up of glass around rolls and the dealing therewith are not possible with the conventional means. SOLUTION: This device detects the wrapping of a glass band on the upper forming roll at the time of forming the glass band 4 by passing fused glass 1 between the upper and lower forming rolls 2 and 3. In such a case, a light projector 8 is arranged on one side in the longitudinal direction of the upper forming roll in order to arrange the optical path of a light beam running in the transverse direction of the glass blank in a downstream region right after drawing out of the upper forming roll and slightly above the glass blank and a photodetector 9 is arranged on the other side. The light beam is shut off or the photodetecting quantity is changed by the occurrence of the wrapping of the glass band on the upper forming roll 2 or the build-up 7 of the glass band thereon, by which the abnormality is detected and a detection signal is obtd. to trigger an alarm.
