摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of uneconomical replacement of a filter with contaminated hands while interrupting print operation for a long time when the filter for removing impurities, e.g. dust, in ink is clogged to increase the channel resistance of ink thus causing malfunction of the system at the time of ejecting ink for recording from the ink ejection port of a recording head through an ink cartridge or reusing ink ejected by ejection recovery. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprising an ink supply passage extending from an ink storage means to a recording means and an ink recovery passage extending from a section for receiving ink ejected from an ink ejection port to the ink storage means is provided with means for varying ink pressure in the ink recovery passage.

SOLUTION: An ink absorbing material 4 is so constituted as to be bonded to a container part 1 of a keeping case for an ink jet cartridge, and come in contact with a contact terminal of the ink jet cartridge when the ink jet cartridge 10 is stored in the keeping case. A groove is formed to a cover part 3 of the keeping case for the ink jet cartridge so as to be mutually engaged with a tap groove 2 formed to the container part 1. Since the ink absorbing material 4 can be moved thus to the contact terminal of the ink jet cartridge 10, the ink absorbing material 4 can be pushed by sticking further fast onto an ink drop stuck to the contact terminal, and the ink drop can be thoroughly removed.

SOLUTION: The desk printer 1 can use a continuous recording medium 10 as well as a fixed form recording medium as a fixed form material to be conveyed. The printer 1 is attached with a height adjusting member 3 rotatably to the printer main body 3, and when the frame height is heightened, the frame height adjusting member 3 is rotated downward to be set as a leg of the printer 1. When a fixed form recording medium is used, the frame height 3 is folded upward along the side face of the printer main body 2 so as to set the frame height adjusting member 3 low. During the use of the continuous recording medium 10, the height of the printer main body 2 is set high by means of the frame body adjusting member 3. Thus, the continuous recording medium 10 being ejected hangs down through its dead weight between it and the installation face 5, and then is folded and doubled at the time when its tip end hits against the installation face.

SOLUTION: The ink jet recording apparatus comprises the recording means for discharging the ink thereby recording on recording sheets, and an ink-storing means for storing the ink to be supplied to the recording means. An ink- collecting means is set for collecting the ink discharged from ink discharge ports of the recording means and supplying the ink again to the ink-storing means. A route in which the ink is supplied to the recording means from the storing means is made an ink supply route, and an ink channel from the ink discharge ports to the ink-storing means is made an ink collection route. The first filter is set in the ink supply route and the second filter is installed in the ink collection route.

That is, when there is an image blank part having a predetermined size or more, predetermined data is selected to form a latent image relative to a production number and data code of the recorder according to the blank part. If there is no blank part having the predetermined size or more, a content of a recording operation is decided, and the operation is started.
