    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient light emitting element having high- luminance and long-life light output by containing azine compound in at least one layer among organic compound-containing layers clamped between a pair of electrodes consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode. SOLUTION: An azine compound is represented by formula I. In the formula, each of R1, R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a nitryl group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group; each of (a)-(h) represents a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; each of (a')-(h') represents a substituent group; no (a')-(h') combines with a nitrogen atoms when represented by (a)-(h) is a nitrogen atom; (n) is an integer ranging from 1 to 1000. For example, a compound represented by the formula II or the like is available. Layers consisting of a layer containing a compound represented by the formula I and other layers made of an organic compound are formed into a thin film by a vacuum deposition method or a painting method after dissolution in a solvent. In film formation base on the painting method, a combination with a binding resin such as polyvinylcarbazole resin may be used. Light emission with high luminance can be obtained by a low impressed voltage, and an excellently durable organic light emitting element can be provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescent element having high luminance and a long life by containing pyrazine compound in at least one of layers containing organic compound sandwitched by a positive electrode and a negative electrode. SOLUTION: At least one of layers composed of organic compound is this organic luminescent element containing pyrazine compound represented by a formula (where R1-4 are H, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, an ester group, an amino group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, or an aromatic complex ring group; Ar1-4 are an aryl group or an aromatic heterocyclic group). Ar1-4 are preferably polyphenylene such as a biphenyl group, triphenylamino group, a tarphenyl group, or an aromatic condensation multi-ring group such as a bipyridyl group or a carbazolyl group. A pyrazine compound film is formed in thickness less than 0.05-0.5 μm between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, in a vacuum deposition method or a solution coating method combined with bonding resin. An organic layer containing a compound represented by a formula is suitable for an electron injection layer, an electron transportation layer, and a luminescent layer.
