摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device by which a series of original bundles are read at a high speed. SOLUTION: A main body read section consisting of a lamp and a scanning mirror in on image-forming device is moved to be set at an optimum position resulting from recognition of a size of a 1st original. When a tip of the 1st original reaches the main body read position, an automatic draft feeder(ADF) provides an output of an original read start signal to the main body, and the main body read section reads an image of the 1st original. While originals are carried synchronously, an ADF read section reads an image of a 2nd original. When it is discriminated that reading of both the 1st and 2nd originals is finished, a 3rd original is separated and carried, and succeedingly a 4th original is separated and carried similarly to the case with the 2nd original.

SOLUTION: A communication controller 101 records a counter value of the number of copies and the present time which are acquired at the time when a jam occurs in a copying device 100, in a jam storage table, when the jam occurs. After that, when the number of the jams stored in the jamming recording table reaches a prescribed value, the contents of data on the fact are transmitted to a host computer 104. This host computer 104 obtains the cumulative jamming curve, based on the stored data, after the storage of the jamming data is completed and executes fixed filtering processing, on the basis of the obtained cumulative jamming curve, to judge the relative risk at present from the contents of the results of the filtering processing. Then, the plural filters different in the length are used to enable the detection of the risk in accordance with the frequency of jamming.

The cumulative jam data curve is filtered by using an FIR filter so as to emphasize a specific part of data and the fuzzy process of the obtained filter output graph is performed to calculate danger graphs as to filters 300, 5000, 10000, and 20000 differing in length. Individual danger degrees corresponding to respective jam codes, machine numbers, or machine kinds are weighted and an arithmetic processing is performed to calculate one danger graph.

By a CPU 311, the image rotating processing of an image editing part 309 with respect to the original image information inputted from the image read part 300 is controlled based on the post-processing position of the recording medium where the sheet post-processing is executed by the sorter 400 and the punching position recognized by an image recognition part 308. Thus, even when the recording and the document images coexit in a state where the sheet post-processing position is not coincide with the position of the punched mark, the coincident document images are outputted.

In the case when the number of the sheets on the copy tray 4 is one, the separation fan 31 is stopped for electric power saving and reduction of noise of a device.
