    • PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic manuscript feeder capable of feeding an unprocessed manuscripts without obstructing a feeding path regardless of the thickness of the unprocessed manuscript by pressing the unprocessed manuscripts fed from a manuscript placing table. CONSTITUTION:While the manuscript does not exist on the manuscript placing table 3 and the automatic manuscript feeder is not operated, a recycling lever 13 hangs down as shown in the figure, and a recycling sensor RS is made to be in a light shielded state. On the other hand, when the automatic manuscript feeder is started to be operated in a state where the manuscript is placed, the lever 13 is rotated. Then, the lever 13 is placed on the final processed manuscript and the sensor RS is made to be in a light passing state. Every time the manuscript is processed, it is fed to be superposed on the lever 13. In such a case, a recycling motor functioning as a pressing means presses the lever 13 to press down the unprocessed manuscripts placed on the manuscript placing table 3, so that the unprocessed manuscript is fed without obstructing the feeding path even in the case the unprocessed manuscript which is placed is thick.

    • PURPOSE:To keep an interval between documents constant and to prevent the omission of information caused by the overlapping and the excessive separation of the documents by adjusting the interval between the documents for every machine and correcting an adjusting amount in them case of simultaneously forming an image concerning plural documents. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit is constructed with a one-chip microcomputer E1 incorporating a ROM and a RAM, etc., as center, and signals from various kinds of sensors are inputted in the input ports I1-I5 of the microcomputer E1, then load is connected to output ports 01-06 through drivers D1-D6. The image is formed on the same sheet concerning the plural documents carried to a platen glass. At such a time, the controlled variable of the interval between the documents is changed according to the kind (size or thickness) of the document, or correction is performed based on the correction value of every machine previously stored, and further the correction amount is arithmetically corrected according to the kind of the document. Thus, the interval between the documents is kept constant when the document is fed to a specified position in an image forming area.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the exchanging time of documents and to improve productivity in an image processing by providing a second placing table which can be extended in a direction prolonging the placing table to the outside of the table. CONSTITUTION:A dummy tray (the second placing table) 12 is arranged above the document tray for a document ejection tray 62. When the document tray 1 is in the position (shown by a fully line), which is used in the case of the switch back mode, a surface is formed so that a tray surface is extended. When the length of a sheet documents P set on the document tray 1 is large and/or small sizes in the carrying direction, a sheet ejecting operation of the switch back mode is performed; when the documents of small size are set, a sheet ejecting operation of the closed loop mode is performed. Additionally, in the ejection from an ejection path III, the minimum area of the placing table is maintained; in the ejection from an ejection path II, the documents are placed in the area obtained by adding the area of the second placing table 12 to the area of the sheet material placing table. Thus, at the time of the ejection from either the ejection path II or III, matching performance and refeeding performance are steadily provided, and operability can be improved.

CONSTITUTION:A sensor 119 for detecting whether the original on a tray is the final original or not is provided on the tray 101. The sensor 119 is situated at a position corresponding to the aperture part 101a of the tray 101 and it consists of a light emitting sensor 119a and a light receiving sensor 119b. Then, it is fixed to the tray 101 through a holder 120. Besides, the position of the sensor 119 in an original feeding direction is set within a range that the sensor 119 detects the original when the final original is situated at the position before it is separated and the sensor 119 is removed from the trailing edge of the original when the original is separated and it waits by making the leading edge thereof abut on a carrying roller 108 and making a loop. Thus, the supply of a recording medium is surely controlled and the jamming or the like is prevented from occurring.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to reduce the production cost of a key input device by setting plural resistance in series to the key scan lines and providing a key switch at the single side of each resistance. CONSTITUTION:A key input device consists of a microcomputer 4, a key input part 5 and a key scan line driving part 6. The control procedure of the key input device is previously stored in an internal memory ROM 1 of the microcomputer 4. Then resistances R14-$25 are set in series to key scan lines 7-10 of the part 6. At the same time, the key switches S17-S32 are connected to the signal side of each of resistances R14-R25 respectively. Thus the key inputs are accepted in time division by plural key switches S and plural parts 6. The the change of potential due to the change of the resistance value of each of the lines 7-10 undergoes the analog/digital conversion through an analog input terminal for discrimination of ternary or higher levels. As a result, the number of terminal of the microcomputer 4 can be decreased.
