摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transfer efficiency of developer to a recording medium and to decrease the amount of the developer in space between a developer coating body and a carrier by providing a coating amount regulating body for regulating a developer carrying amount on the outer peripheral surface of the developer coating body. SOLUTION: The developer in a storage chamber A is electrified to have a specified polarity by the friction of a developing roller 15 and a coating roller 16 at a nip formed between the roller 15 and the roller 16 press-contacting with each other when the developer is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the roller 15 while it is carried on the outer peripheral surface of the roller 16. The coating amount regulating body 18 provided in a developing device 3 is arranged so that either end may be fixed on the main body of the device 3 and the other end may abut on or nearly abut on the outer peripheral surface of the roller 16 so as to butt against it in the rotating direction of the roller 16, and the carrying amount of the developer carried on the outer peripheral surface is regulated at the nip formed between the roller 16 and the regulating body 18 press-contacting with each other.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an end part fogging and to stably obtain a high-quality image while miniaturizing the device and surely preventing toner from being leaked by constituting an end-part leakage preventing member of a foaming polyurethane whose density and number of cells are specified. SOLUTION: End-part seal members 17 are made to abut on both end parts of a developing roller 10 so that the toner is not leaked from a gap between both end parts of the roller 10 and a developing blade 11 in the longitudinal direction. Thus, since the seal members 17 and the roller 10 are stuck to each other without leaving the gap, the toner is prevented from being leaked. The seal members 17 are made to adhere to the inside wall of a developing frame so as to abut on both ends the roller 10 by surrounding them. Besides the end- part leakage prevention members 15 are arranged in order to prevent the toner from being leaked from the gap between the blade 11 and the inside wall of the developing frame. The leakage prevention member 15 is formed by using the foaming polyurethane, whose density is 20 to 40 (kg/m3) and whose number of cells is 40 to 60 (pieces/25 mm), and stuck to the blade 11, the surface of the roller 10 and the inside wall of the developing frame.

High rigidity is secured at the bending 82 and in the vicinity of the bending 82 of the recovery sheet 80 in the longitudinal direction, and the wave undulation is hardly generated because of the bending 82 formed on the free end 81. Thus, the recovery sheet 80 can abut uniformly all over the photoreceptor drum 20 and the conventional assembling method is not necessary, the assembling property is enhanced as a result.
