    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the through put by arranging a separated sheet feed means to separate and carry duplicate-fed sheets when the sheets are duplicate- carried from a sheet loading means in the vicinity of a sheet discharge end of the sheet loading means to reduce the distance to an image forming means to form an image. SOLUTION: A plurality of recording papers 6 are placed in a nip part 9 with their self weight in a waiting condition, and fed one by one by the separating effect between a sheet feed roller and a pinch roller 2 by the rotation of a sheet feed roller 16 when the printing instruction is received. That is, a plurality of recording papers 6 enter between the pinch roller 2 and the sheet feed roller 16, and the pinch roller 2 is rotated in the reverse direction to the sheet feeding direction. When only one recording paper 6 is present between the rollers 2, 16, the pinch roller 2 is driven through the recording paper 6 to be carried by the sheet feed roller 16 into a regular recording paper carrying operation. Then, the recording paper 6 is recorded by a printing part 29, and discharged through a discharge roller 32.

CONSTITUTION:An automatic sheet feeder U' has a hopper 2 and a stacker 3. A sheet discharge guide 20 is disposed in the stacker 3. In the central portion of the guide 20 are provided fit holes 21a, 21b with a pitch P equal to the width of legs 11', 11' of a discharged sheet support 11, and further a spare fit hole 21c adjacent one fit hole 21b is provided in a position corresponding to the same pitch. And the sheet support 11 is fitted in the holes 21a, 21b or 21b, 21c according to the width dimension of discharged sheet. Thus, the discharging and receiving properties of sheets having respective sizes can be improved without increasing the number of parts.
