    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mud taking-out method and its taking-out apparatus separating and taking out mud from muddy water, efficiently dewatering to a low moisture content, and forming the mud into a solidified state.
      SOLUTION: In this mud taking-out method, inside of a filter panel dipped in muddy water is evacuated; water is introduced into the filter panel using a negative pressure in the panel and mud filtered from the muddy water is made to attach on the surface of the filter panel; the filter panel is taken up from the muddy water to take out mud from the muddy water; the inside of the filter panel is kept evacuated for a given time after taking up the filter panel from the muddy water; and the surface of the filter panel is outwardly moved to drop mud from the surface of the filter panel. By thus taking out mud from muddy water and keeping sucking in the air, mud with low moisture content can be easily taken out of muddy water.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydrating apparatus efficiently dehydrating sludge to a low moisture content, and smoothly discharging dehydrated and solidified sludge to the outside with a reduced energy consumption.
      SOLUTION: This dehydrating apparatus comprises: a flat frame body; a cylindrical air-permeable filter medium along the inner peripheral face of the frame body; a water guiding panel provided with grooves in a vertical direction on a face in contact with at least the flexible filter medium, in which its lower part is exposed from the lower part of the frame body and which is attached to front and rear wall inner faces; a bottom lid pinching the lower part of the flexible filter medium at the lower part of the frame body to close it; a moisture absorbing panel provided in parallel with the front and rear wall inner faces roughly at the center in the cross direction in the body; a suction pump sucking inside of the water absorbing panel; an air sending pump in the water absorbing panel; a selector valve connecting one of the suction pump and air sending pump to the water absorbing panel; and a water permeating sheet separated from the surface of the water absorbing panel when air is sent into the panel. Thus, sludge is efficiently dehydrated and sludge can be easily discharged from the dehydrating apparatus.
