Recording is accordingly conducted when the ink cartridge 50 is surely fitted.

SOLUTION: Ordinary business forms and envelopes are respectively set based on a reference guide 30a, and sent out by two paper feed rollers 41a, 41b. The paper feed roller 41b on the far side from the reference guide 30a is formed into a larger diameter than that of the other roller 41a. In an envelope facing sideways, the protruded side from the paper feed roller 41b is sent out without delaying against the other side regardless of resistance applied to the part, by strong feeding force and a large feeding quantity of the paper feed roller 41b. When the envelope is curved along a slope 51 for separation, the protruded part is slided on a thin plate 52b of small friction coefficient, and hence it gets over the slope 51 with little slant. The ordinary business form is slantingly sent out from a paper feed hopper due to difference of the feed quantities of both rollers, but it is resisted and corrected by a feed mechanism 7 on the lower stream side.
