A preformed body that matches the cover to be formed can thereby be easily and surely identified out of many kinds of preformed bodies stored in a temporary storage place, and the golf ball is configured to be suitable for carrying out the manufacturing method. The extremely stylish golf ball excelling in visibility can thereby be efficiently manufactured.
