The mixer/branch filter 4 mixes these signals and transmits them to a terminal equipment 11 later. In this case, the clock signal is transmitted through a channel different from that of the other signal. The clock demodulator of the terminal equipment 11 demodulates this clock signal at all times and inputs this clock signal to a terminal control CPU as the reference clock.

The center 3 is controlled by a server 1 to send a mode sense polling signal to all the KARAOKE terminal devices 5 connected to the center 3 in order at specific intervals of time (e.g. 30 seconds) and then decide whether or not each terminal device 5 is in 'KARAOKE mode' on the basis of a mode response signal sent from the terminal device 5. Then the center 3 sends a request polling signal to only decided terminal devices 5 in 'KARAOKE mode' to confirm whether or not music is requested, and sends KARAOKE data to the terminal where music is requested.
