    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl insulating vinyl sheath cable, which has an insulating layer and a sheath, both formed with polyvinyl chloride resin compositions, is excellent in the peelability between the insulating layer and the sheath, and meets the JIS standards for the tensile strength, thermal aging characteristics, oil resistance, etc.SOLUTION: The vinyl insulating vinyl sheath cable comprises: at least one insulated cable including a conducting wire covered with an insulating layer; and a sheath covering the insulated cable. The sheath is formed by a polyvinyl chloride resin composition. The insulating layer is formed by a polyvinyl chloride resin composition consisting of a polyvinyl chloride resin with a plasticizer and ground calcium carbonate mixed therein. The amount of the mixed plasticizer with respect to 100 pts.wt. of polyvinyl chloride resin is 60-80 pts.wt., and that of the ground calcium carbonate is 100-200 pts.wt. The average particle size of the ground calcium carbonate is in a range of 1.5-5 μm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that suppresses sticking by cicadas by a jacket itself without using a protection body etc., has flame retardancy and has the jacket to be easily torn.
      SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable has a main portion 2 and a support wire portion 3 coupled to each other through a neck portion 4 which is easy to cut, and the main portion 2 has tension members 6 arranged on both sides of coated optical fibers 5, 5' and collectively coated with a jacket 7, and also has notches 8 for jacket tearing provided on both side faces 7a. The jacket 7 is composed of a base resin obtained by compounding a polypropylene resin or high-density polypropylene resin, and one of an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer resin, a crystalline olefin-ethylene butene-crystalline olefin copolymer resin, a styrene-ethylene butene-styrene block copolymer resin, and a styrene-ethylene butene-crystalline olefin copolymer resin. Metal hydroxide and a phosphorus-based flame retardant are compounded with the base resin.
