摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene related to lung cancer, a detection method thereof, a kit therefor, a method for screening therapeutic agents for lung cancer, and a pharmaceutical composition by clarifying new causative genes of lung cancer. SOLUTION: The present inventors found that a fusion gene present in some cancer patients is an oncogene to construct the gene concerned, established a detection method for the gene and proteins encoded by the gene, and a screening method for the protein-suppressing agents using the protein (namely a cancer therapeutic agent positive to the fusion gene), and clarified that the protein suppressing agents exhibit the antitumor effects. Thereby, provided are a new fusion gene that is useful as a screening tool, fusion protein, a screening method, and a cancer-therapeutic medicinal composition positive to the fusion gene. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify a new causal gene of pulmonary cancer, thereby providing the gene, a method for detecting the gene, a kit for the detection method, a method for screening a cancer therapeutic agent and a medicinal composition. SOLUTION: The present inventors have found that a fusion gene existing in some cancer patients is an oncogene, constructed a method for the detection of the gene and a protein encoded by the gene and a method for screening a protein suppressing agent (therapeutic agent for cancer positive for the fusion gene) by using the protein, and clarified that the protein suppressing agent develops an antitumor effect. According to the above findings, a new fusing gene useful as a screening tool, a fusion protein, a screening method and a medicinal composition for the treatment of cancer and positive for the fusion gene are provided. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful as a medicine, in particular as an insulin secretion promoter and a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for diseases associated with GPR40 such as diabetes.SOLUTION: The invention is accomplished based on a finding resulting from study on a compound having a GPR40 receptor agonist action, that a thiazolidinedione compound including thiazolidinedione binding to a 6-membered monocyclic aromatic ring via a carbon atom with the aromatic ring further binding to benzene substituted with a 6-membered monocyclic aromatic ring via a linker, and a salt thereof exhibit excellent GPR40 agonist activity. The thiazolidinedione compound can be used as an insulin secretion promoter, and a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for diabetes.
