      SOLUTION: This hydrogen detection device 11 is equipped with a hydrogen absorbent 12 for absorbing and desorbing hydrogen reversibly; and a quartz oscillator 14 wherein electrodes 13a, 13b are arranged on both ends in the thickness direction, for detecting a weight change corresponding to absorption and desorption of hydrogen by the hydrogen absorbent 12 based on a frequency change of an alternating current flowing in the electrodes 13a, 13b by vibration. Either electrode 13a is arranged between the hydrogen absorbent 12 and the quartz oscillator 14, and has a sending-out part 25 capable of sending out gas flowing near the hydrogen absorbent 12 from the upstream side to the downstream side.
