    • PURPOSE:To improve lubricating performance by a simple structure by a method wherein the input shaft of the four-wheel driving transfer device which serves also as the output shaft of an automatic transmission is linked coaxially to the output shaft of the device, the lubricating oil paths of two shafts are communicated with each other and thus lubrication inside the device is conducted by the lubricating oil for the transmission. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 2 which is both the output shaft of a gear transmission 1 and the input shaft of the transfer device and the output shaft 11 of the device are constituted so that they can be linked coaxially to each other by a sun gear 8 and a carrier 12, while the central oil path 3 of the input shaft 2 and the central oil path 56 of the output shaft 11 are communicated with each other. The lubricating oil is drawn up from the oil pan of the automatic transmission and adjusted to have prescribed pressure. Then it flows from the oil path 3 of the input shaft 2 into the oil path 56 of the output shaft 11 and, through oil paths 4, 5, 57-63, is fed to bearings 33 and 34, a brake 17 and friction clutches 23 and 39, and thus lubrication is conducted. In this way, sufficient lubrication can be conducted by a simple constitution.

This makes any shock to be reduced.
