    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of suppressing the abnormal potential of a fuel cell and damages of an electrolyte film during start of the fuel cell.
      SOLUTION: This fuel cell system has the fuel cell, an anode gas pressure adjusting means to adjust the pressure of an anode gas supplied to the fuel cell, a cathode gas pressure adjusting means to adjust the pressure of a cathode gas supplied to the fuel cell. A pressure control means is provided which controls the anode gas pressure adjusting means and the cathode gas pressure adjusting means so that the pressure of the anode gas supplied during start of the fuel cell is set higher than the pressure of the anode gas supplied during power generation of the fuel cell, and the pressure rise of the cathode gas is started in accordance with the pressure rise of the anode gas when the pressure of the anode gas is raised to the set pressure is provided.
