    • PURPOSE:To simplify a speed increasing operation, by generating an acceleration signal and increasing the speed of a vehicle by operating a resuming switch again, when a timing circuit is in operation. CONSTITUTION:When a resuming switch SW2 is closed, a timing circuit 91 of an acceleration signal generating circuit 90 provided with the timing circuit is operated for a prescribed time. When the switch SW2 is closed in the course of its operation, the circuit 91 generates an L level signal and an output of an OR gate 92 becomes an L level. This L level signal turns off a transistor T1 and turns on an FETF1, therefore, reference potential Vr is applied to the base of an FETF2. This source voltage VM becomes VM=Vr, therefore, a comparator CM compares the divided voltage VX with Vr. In this case, since VX>Vr is set, an output of the comparator CM becomes an H level, a control solenoid SL1 of an actuator 50 is turned on, the opening of a throttle becomes large, and the speed is accelerated. When the switch SW2 is opened at the time point of reaching a desired speed, a vehicle is shifted to constant speed running.

Accordingly, integral voltage applied to a capacitor C2 in response to this duty becomes large in accordance with the time when the vehicle speed becomes lower than a set speed. This integral voltage is inputted to an inverted input terminal of a comparator 94. Therefore, in case when the vehicle speed is close to the set speed, an output of the comparator becomes H, the speed is accelerated by a resuming switch SW2, and in case when the vehicle speed is far different from the set speed, an output of the comparator 94 becomes an L level, and the speed is reset to a set car speed by a resuming function of the siwtch SW2.

Therefore, even if the switch SW3 is opened, the circuit 70 maintains the released state of constant speed running. This state is continued until the switch SW2 is opened once. Therefore, even in case when the switch SW2 is not reset in a state that it remains closed in the course of running, constant speed running can be released by closing the switch SW3, and such danger as acceleration is not stopped can be prevented.
