    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure regulating valve that can further surely reduce the occurrence of noise caused by self-excited vibration of a ball valve.
      SOLUTION: The pressure regulating valve 10 includes a valve housing 11 having an inflow port 16 and a discharge port 17 and formed with a fluid passage R inside; the ball valve 12 arranged in the fluid passage R movably in an axial direction; and a valve spring 14 energizing the ball valve 12. The valve housing 11 includes a guide part 11b guiding the axial movement of the ball valve 12. The guide part 11b is provided with a vertical groove 18 recessed to form a part of the fluid passage. Since the vertical groove 18 is formed in asymmetric shape across a centerline passing through a center axis P of the valve housing 11, the cross-sectional area of the fluid passage in the guide part 11b is divided into a large area region and a small area region across the centerline. The inflow port 16 is preferably provided on the large area region side or inclined.
