    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device capable of preventing suction of vapor to a fuel pump.
      SOLUTION: The fuel supply device 10 is provided with a housing 16 provided in fuel piping 14 supplying an engine with fuel in a fuel tank 12, and a fuel pump 18 stored in the housing 16, sucking fuel from a fuel suction port 38 and discharging the same to the engine side from a fuel delivery port 39. A fuel sump part 44 keeping fuel sucked to the fuel pump 18 and a vapor discharge passage 64 discharging vapor staying in the fuel sump part 44 are provided in the housing 16. A fuel suction port 38 of the fuel pump 18 is arranged in a zone where little vapor stays in the fuel sump part 44.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a ball valve during a reverse flow due to fuel suction from a vapor discharge hole while eliminating a valve closing spring for a check valve.
      SOLUTION: This fuel pump 14 includes the vapor discharge hole 103 discharging vapor generated inside of a pump chamber 101 to the outside of the pump chamber. In the vapor discharge hole 103, the check valve 105 is provided for allowing discharge of vapor and preventing a fuel reverse flow. The check valve 105 is provided with: a valve housing 106 formed with a valve seat 120 and a valve chamber 118; and the ball valve 107 arranged inside of the valve chamber 118, opening the valve seat 120 by self weight, and closing the valve seat 120 by the fuel reverse flow. The inner wall surface 119 of the valve chamber 118 is formed of a tapered surface with a clearance between the inner wall surface and the ball valve 107 narrowed from the opening side of the ball valve 107 toward the closing side thereof.

An outer lower surface of a pump body 43 of the housing 21 has a straightener 51, which is disposed to correspond to the vapor jet hole 27 to allow the discharge of the vapor from the vapor jet hole 27 and prevent the entrance of the foreign matter into the vapor jet hole 27.

      SOLUTION: The fuel injection pump has a cylinder 60 equipped with a cylinder chamber, a fuel flow-in port, and a fuel flow-out port, and a piston 94 arranged inside the cylinder 60 and which moves inside the cylinder chamber from a first position to a second position. The pump is equipped with plungers 94, 95 structured so that when the piston 94 is at the first position, fuel flows in from the fuel flow-in port to the inside of the cylinder chamber, and when the piston 94 moves from the first position to the second position, the fuel inside the cylinder chamber is compressed and is made to flow out from the fuel flow-out port. The part where the piston 94 and the cylinder 60 slide is provided with a trapping means 94a for trapping foreign matter in the fuel.
