    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable intake device of an internal combustion engine, capable of installing both an upper cover and a valve housing in a suitable state, by preventing pliability between the both caused when fastening the valve housing to the upper cover, while securing installation accuracy of respective variable intake valves by securing required rigidity of the valve housing.
      SOLUTION: This variable intake device of the internal combustion engine can vary the intake pipe length by opening and closing respective communicating ports arranged in a partition wall for every intake pipe by respective variable intake valves, by partitioning the respective intake pipes and a surge tank by the partition wall. A rib 45 is formed in a part between the respective variable intake valves 4 for inserting and arranging rotary shafts 5a and 5b in a valve housing 41 for holding the respective variable intake valves 4. The rib is formed in parallel to the rotary shafts 5a and 5b. A fastening part to be fastened to the upper cover by a bolt, is also arranged in the valve housing 41. The rib is formed in the part provided with the variable intake valves 4 arranged in close vicinity to this fastening part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable intake device of a V-type internal combustion engine, capable of miniaturizing the variable intake device by using a simple mechanism without complicating a driving mechanism.
      SOLUTION: This variable intake device of the V-type internal combustion engine can vary the intake pipe length by opening and closing respective communicating ports arranged in a partition wall for every intake pipe by respective variable intake valves, by partitioning the respective intake pipes and a surge tank by the partition wall. The respective variable intake valves 4 are arranged by mutually dislocating its mutual adjacent variable intake valves 4 so as to form parallel lateral two rows as a whole. The variable intake valves 4 of the respective rows are opened and closed by the rotational movement of a pair of right and left rotary shafts 5a and 5b connected to the variable intake valves 4 of its respective rows. A synchronizing mechanism 6 for synchronously rotating these rotary shafts 5a and 5b is also connected between the right and left rotary shafts 5a and 5b, and is arranged so as to synchronously open and close the variable intake valves 4 of the respective rows, by transmitting the rotational movement of one rotary shaft 5a by an actuator to the other rotary shaft 5b via the synchronizing mechanism 6.
