SOLUTION: This electric brake device comprises: a caliper 11 holding braking members 15 and 16; an electric motor 22 attached to the caliper; a one-input and two-output reduction mechanism 31 transmitting, by inputting rotation of the electric motor, the input rotation of one input element thereof from the electric motor to two output elements 35 and 36 at reduced speeds; a rotation-linear converter 43 converting the rotation of the one-side output element 35 into linear motion of one of the braking members; and a thrust force support member 27 connected to the other-side output element 36 and screw-engaged with the caliper. In the electric brake device, the rotation-linear motion converting mechanism is supported integrally with the thrust force support member in a thrust direction, and is provided with rotation limiting means 55 limiting the rotation in one direction of the one-side output element, and the thrust force support member is increased in resistance to operation relative to the rotation-linear motion converter.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mechanical efficiency of an inner gearing planetary gear mechanism and to improve the durability of an external gear 3 and an internal gear 4 by reducing the load and loss added to tooth faces of the external gear 3 and the internal gear 4 and a sliding part such as a bearing 14.
      SOLUTION: A distance between a center of the external gear 3 and a center of the internal gear 4 is elongated by determining the eccentricity α of an eccentric part 1 to be more than a theoretical value, whereby the loss of the tooth faces of the bearing 14 and the gears can be reduced. An engagement range of the internal gear 4 and the external gear 3 can be narrowed, a part of large pressure angle can be reduced, and the loss caused by the large pressure angle can be reduced. Further the engagement range of the external gear 3 and the internal gear 4 is narrowed, whereby the contact condition of the gear is transferred from sliding contact to rolling contact, which reduces the loss by sliding contact. Further as the sliding contact is reduced, the abrasion by the sliding contact can be prevented, and the endurance service life of the gears can be improved.
