摘要： PURPOSE:To solidify MgCO3 or a material consisting essentially of MgCO3 under mild conditions. CONSTITUTION:MgCO3 or a material consisting essentially of MgCO3 is solidified by adding a solubilizing material such as alkali salt, etc., to it or using the solubilizing material as the autoclave treating solution and subjecting the resulting mixture to autoclave reaction under consitions of comparatively low temp. and low pressure. Thus, MgCO3 or a material consisting essentially of MgCO3 is easily and efficiently solidified under mild conditions of comaratively low temp. and low pressure by only treating it through using a conventional device, i.e., an autoclave. Accordingly, the reduction in energy consumption and cost in the MgCO3 solidification technique can be attained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To solidify CaCO3 and/or MgCO3 or a material consisting essentially of them under mild conditions. CONSTITUTION:CaCO3 and/or MgCO3 or a material consisting essentially of them are mixed with at least one Ca or Mg based material selected from CaO, Ca(OH)2, MgO and Mg(OH)2 and a silica based material and thereafter, the resulting mixture is solidified by utilizing an autoclave reaction. Thus, these raw materials are easily and efficiently solidified under mild conditions of comparatively low temp. and low pressure by only treating them through using a conventional device, i.e., an autoclave to obtain a high strength solidified body and accordingly, the reduction in energy consumption and cost can be attained by using this method. Therefore, CO2 in a waste combustion gas can be fixed and recovered as CaCO3 and/or MgCO3 and the recovered material is solidified at a low treating cost to effectively utilize the solidified product for construction and civil work materials, etc.

CONSTITUTION:A porous sintered material is produced by mixing coal ash with at least one kind of binder selected from blast furnace slag and incineration ash of sewage sludge in combination with a forming assistant, forming the mixture and baking the formed product to melt the binder and expand the air in the coal ash. The binder is melted by baking to form the bonding part of the coal ash particles and, thereafter, the air in the coal ash is expanded to form the objective lightweight cellular building material having a low bulk density and closed cell structure. The surface of the lightweight cellular building material has low water-absorption owing to the presence of the molten binder. A lightweight cellular building material having low water-absorption and low bulk density and useful as a building material can be produced at a low cost while effectively utilizing industrial wastes.
