    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colored mortar or colored concrete containing a hydraulic binder and aggregate, which has a clear color. SOLUTION: The colored mortar or the colored concrete contains the hydraulic binder and the aggregate having the outside surface covered with a pigmented coating. The colored mortar is mixed with water as kneading water in a practice site and is sprayed on the outside surface of a steel frame structure as a base material in 10 mm thickness using a mortar pump as a pressure feed pump. After being sprayed, the colored mortar is hardened by the hydration reaction of normal Portland cement to obtain the steel frame structure covered with the colored mortar.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a fire-resistant covering material for achieving a prescribed level of fire-resistant performance of a fire-resistant covering material that is used for protecting a structural steel works from combustion heat in a fire.
      SOLUTION: A fire-resistant covering material including aluminum sulfate as a metal sulfate salt and titanium dioxide is mixed with water as a kneading liquid at the execution site and a mortar pump is used as a compressor and a square-shaped steel pipe is blow-coated on the outer surface of the pipe in a thickness of 8 mm. After the execution, the fire-resistant covering material hardens by the re-crystallization of aluminum sulfate to obtain fire-resistant covered steel structure. When the steel structure covered with the covering material is exposed to fire heat, the crystal water of the aluminum sulfate in the covering composition is released and evaporated from when the inner temperature of the covering material reaches about 50°C and the temperature rise is suppressed by the endothermic reaction. Resultantly, the heat transmission speed to the the covered steel structure is suppressed in a fire and the thickness of the covering material can be decreased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight mortar which contains a binder and a filler and has the volume enlarged after kneading.
      SOLUTION: The lightweight mortar having a wetting time of 47 seconds is kneaded with the kneading water, a part of which infiltrates into other fillers, lightweight aggregate and binders, and the rest of which, as illustrated in the figure, does not infiltrates into precipitated calcium carbonate 1(one coated on the surface with stearic acid) as an unwettable filler but sheds water and then is successively kneaded, resulting in that the kneading water 2 is dispersed and surrounded with the unwettable filler to thereby have nowhere to go and not to thereby infiltrate into other fillers, lightweight aggregate and binders acting like a kind of a filler, therefore the lightweight mortar requires a large amount of the kneading water 2 in order to obtain the satisfactory flowability enough to wet these other fillers, lightweight aggregate and binders and to apply the lightweight mortar, consequently comes to have the enlarged volume.
