    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a fuel inlet and the fuel inlet which can secure a sufficient dust preventive performance even if chipping is received. SOLUTION: First, an aqueous acrylic emulsion type dust preventive coating of resistance to chipping is adjusted with a viscosity in a range of 10 Pa s to 30 Pa s (S1), and coating is carried out to a wax part and a crossover part which are difficult parts to carry out pre-coating, namely coating of the fuel inlet by brush coating or slit coating so as to serve a film thickness in the range of 150 μm to 400 μm (S2). During this pre-coating is not dried, the whole surface of the outside surface of the fuel inlet is subjected to airless atomization coating of the dust preventive coating of resistance to chipping using an airless gun (S3), or only the part actually receiving the chipping is subjected to the airless atomization coating (S4) and the non-coated part is coated with the normal dust preventive coating (S5).
