    • PURPOSE:To reduce the interference pattern by converting the density of the inputted multilevel picture information and converting it into the binary picture data based on the threshold value arranged on the dither matrix at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:A reading part 21 converts a picture signal read by a scanner 4 into picture information by an A/D converter. At the time of binary processing, the digital data inputted by a binary processing circuit 24 is converted into binary information represented by 0 and 1 by taking the specific threshold value as reference. At the time of multilevel processing, a multilevel discrimination circuit 22 reads a dither matrix 23 stored in a system memory 2 and compares it with the picture information by taking the threshold value arranged on the dither matrix, which is binarized by a binary circuit 24. The dither matrix avoiding the interference with the pattern of the density conversion processing is constructed in the system memory 2. The binary information is printed on an inkjet printer so that the generation of the interference pattern with the multilevel dither matrix due to the density conversion processing can be reduced as much as possible.

    • PURPOSE: To attain image recording at a high speed with high quality by means of a shuttle type image recording means by delaying or quickening image recording by a recording head on a forward or a return path by a time corresponding to a deviation in a recorded image. A correction pattern having been stored in an image memory 104 in advance is printed on a recording medium by the printer section 102. A system control section 108 detects a deviation in the scanning line direction caused between a print image on a forward path and a print image on a return path by a recording head based on a correction pattern read by a scanner section 101. The time (correction time) corresponding to the deviation from the detected print image is set and the printing of the magnetic head on the forward path or the return path is delayed by the set correction time under the control for the printer section 101 afterward.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the reproducibility of recorded colors by correcting the correction data table of a setting means on the basis of Y, M, and C data of a read test pattern. CONSTITUTION: An image processing part inputs color gradation data, generated by converting the output signals of CCDs 31r, 31g, and 31b into 8-bit data through an A/D converter 32, to a shading correcting circuit 33. The circuit 33 corrects uneveness in optical illuminance among the color gradation data and variance in sensitivity among internal terminal elements of the CCDs 31r, 31g, and 31b and outputs the result to a γ correcting circuit 34. The circuit 34 alters gradations according to characteristics of ink and outputs the resulting data to a complementary color generating circuit. The circuit 35 converts the data into gradation data of cyan C, magenta M, and yellow Y as the complementary colors of the gradation data and outputs them to a masking circuit 36. The masking process data of the circuit 36 are corrected with the Y, M, and C data converted by the circuit 35. Then the output of the circuit 36 is processed by an UCR and black generating circuit 37 into recordable gradation data, which are printed at a color recording part 3.

    • PURPOSE: To attain transmission and reception of selected information by read ing and storing color image information and black/white image information from a transmission original and selecting the color image information or the black 7 white image information based on selection information sent from a receiver side. CONSTITUTION: A scanner section 3 is used to read color image information from an original information and stores it to a color image information storage section 9. On the other hand, black/white image information is read from the original image and stored in a black/white image information storage section 10. After the facsimile equipment is connected to a receiver side facsimile equipment via a communication line, a MODEM section 6 receives selection information representing selection and reception of either the color image information or the black/white image information set by a non-standard function identification signal NSF from the receiver side facsimile equipment and a coding decoding section 8 codes the color image information or the black/white image information into coded image information based on the selection information. Then the MODEM section 6 modulates the coded image information with the information signal and the resulting signal is sent.
