    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor capable of holding at a suitable position a sensor which measures a physical quantity of the reactor in operation.SOLUTION: A reactor includes a coil 2 which has a pair of coil elements 2a, 2b connected to each other, a magnetic core 3 which has a pair of inner core parts arranged in the coil elements 2a, 2b respectively and an outer core part 32 connecting those inner core parts to each other so as to form a closed magnetic path, an insulator 5 which is interposed between the coil and the magnetic core 3, a sensor 7 which measures a physical quantity of the reactor, and a sensor holder 8 which is composed of a member independent of the insulator 5 and holds the sensor 7. The coil elements 2a, 2b are cylindrical bodies constituted by spirally coiling winding wires 2w and have end face shapes including corner R parts formed by rounding corner parts, and the coil elements 2a, 2b are arranged in parallel so as to have their axes in parallel. The sensor 7 is arranged in a trapezoidal space sandwiched between the opposed corner R parts of the coil elements 2a, 2b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor that is superior in assembling workability.SOLUTION: A reactor 1 has: a coil 2 formed by winding a winding wire 2w; a magnetic core 3; a case 4 housing an assembly 10 of the coil 2 and the magnetic core 3; and a terminal fitting 8 connected to an end of the winding wire 2w. The case 4 has a bottom plate part 40, and a side wall part 41 surrounding a periphery of the assembly 10. At least of part of the side wall part 41 is formed of an insulating resin. A fastening base part 415 for holding the terminal fitting 8 by a fastening member (bolt 419), a swinging motion restraint part 416 for restraining the swing motion of the terminal fitting 8 when the bolt 419 is fastened, and a positioning part 417 for positioning the terminal fitting 8 are integrally molded to the side wall part 41 by the insulating resin. The terminal fitting 8 has a locking part 86 which is locked to the swinging motion restraint part 416. The terminal fitting 8 is hard to swing by the swinging motion restraint part 416 and the locking part 86, has a good stability to easily fasten the bolt 419 and has a good workability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor having excellent joint strength between a coil and a case.SOLUTION: A reactor is provided with a coil 2, a magnetic core 3 on which the coil 2 is disposed, and a case for storing an assembly 10 of the coil 2 and the magnetic core 3. The case is provided with a bottom plate portion 40 configured by a metal material; and a side wall portion attached to the bottom plate portion 40, and surrounding the periphery of the assembly 10. On an inner surface of the bottom plate portion 40, a joint layer 42 for fixing the coil is provided, and roughening treatment is performed on an area where the joint layer 42 is provided. When anodic oxidation treatment is performed as the roughening treatment, the bottom plate portion 40 is provided with an anodic oxidation layer 43. By the roughening treatment, a contact area between the bottom plate portion 40 and the joint layer 42 is increased, and joint strength between the bottom plate portion 40 and the coil 2 can be enhanced. The bottom plate portion 40 and the coil 2 are securely joined, so that the heat of the coil 2 can be efficiently transmitted to an installation object through the bottom plate portion 40, and an excellent heat radiating property is ensured.

The case 4 includes: a bottom plate part 40 to be fixed to a fixing object when the reactor 1 is provided to the fixing object; a side wall part 41 attached to the bottom plate part 40 and surrounding the assembly 10; and a heat dissipation layer 42 formed on an inner surface of the bottom plate part 40 and interposed between the bottom plate 40 and the coil 2. The bottom plate part 40 is formed of aluminum, and the side wall part 41 is formed of an insulating resin. The heat dissipation layer 42 is formed of an adhesive having high thermal conductivity and having excellent insulation properties. The bottom plate part 40 is formed of a member different from that of the side wall part 41, thereby the heat dissipation layer 42 can be easily formed, and also can be formed of a material excellent in heat dissipation. The coil 2 is uniformly pressed to the heat dissipation layer 42 by an insulator 5, and thus the heat dissipation layer 42 exhibits further excellent heat dissipation properties.

The installation surface portion 40 is made of aluminum and the side wall portion 41 is made of insulating resin. The heat dissipation layer 42 is made of an adhesive which has high heat conductivity and high insulation. The installation surface portion 40 is a member independent of the side wall portion 41, so the heat dissipation layer 42 is easily formed and has superior heat dissipation. The side wall portion 41 is made of the insulating resin and the space formed with the coil 2 is thereby made small to achieve size reduction.
